1927: Slim Dusty (David Gordon Kirkpatrick) born in Nulla Nulla Creek New South Wales. Slim Dusty "released more than a hundred albums, selling more than seven million records and earning over 70 gold and platinum album certifications". He was the first Australian to have a No. 1 international hit song, with a version of Gordon Parsons' "A Pub with No Beer". He received an unequalled 45 Golden Guitar and an Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) award. He was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and Australian Roll of Renown. 1946: Jim Keays (Masters Apprentices) died on the 13th of June 2014 in Melbourne, VIC aged 67. He was born on the 9th of September 1946 in Glasgow, Scotland. He fronted the rock band the Masters Apprentices as singer-songwriter, guitarist and harmonica-player from 1965 to 1972 and subsequently had a solo career. The Masters Apprentices had Top 20 hits on the Go-Set National Singles Charts with "Undecided", "Living in a Child's Dream", "5:10 Man", "Think about Tomorrow Today", "Turn Up Your Radio" and "Because I Love You". The band reformed periodically, including in 1987 to 1988 and again subsequently. 2017: Anita Pallenberg, who lived with Keith Richards for 13 years and had three kids with him, dies at age 75. Pallenberg inspired the Rolling Stones songs "You Got The Silver" and "Happy."
